Simple Tips as we step into Summer!

How are you prepping for Summer? 

Hey Team!

With the Hotter months right around the corner, it also means, short sleeves, short shorts, bathing suits and cold bevvies! Before heading out to purchase the next ‘Quick fix Fad’ to slim down for Summer, how about trying some simple steps you can implement and maintain ALL YEAR – (not 3 months of it….) that will help you feel confident with the skin you’re in!

Here’s some tips to get you started…

SET SHORT TERM GOALS

“I want to lose 10kg in 6 months,” needs to be broken down into Daily/Weekly goals with some little planning and tweaks to get you to that point. Remember to enjoy the journey while racing for the finish line. Start to gather those daily wins for big outcomes. If you need help with setting these goals email me back and I’ll help you.

REVIEW DAILY BREAKFAST

Does it contain a high content of refined sugars? If so, modify your first meal to start the day with High Protein and High Fibre options. This can have a huge impact on what you eat for the rest of the day because you will feel fuller for longer.

REVIEW WATER INTAKE

Again, kickstart your day with 500ml to a 1 litre alongside your breakfast, then aim to have another 250-500ml at each meal. This too will set your day up for a positive outcome.

REVIEW YOUR WEEKLY TAKEAWAY LUNCHES

Try taking your own fresh lunch from home to work for 3/5 business days..

ARE YOU DRINKING YOUR WAY INTO A DEFICIT?

FOOD IS FUEL! Smoothies and liquid lunches are one tool. But don’t be afraid to EAT, learn, experiment, have fun, increase your energy expenditure through the Thermic effect of food and chew chew chew!!

DO YOU ENJOY A DAILY FROTHY OR 5?

Reduce Volume through the week, and on any given ‘event,’ aim for a low Alcohol/low sugar option, or enjoy a fresh Iced Lime and Soda between drinks! (remember, if you’re around the right crowd…. a designated driver will never be pushed into having ‘another one’ or ‘just one more’).

ARE YOU MOVING DAILY?

Increase your steps, find an ‘Accountabilibuddy’ and new friendships that support your Goals, not deny you of them. We can help with this!
